Reiki is a Japanese form of energy healing where practitioners channel universal life force energy to promote healing and relaxation in recipients. It involves the practitioner using gentle hand movements, either touching the recipient or holding their hands a few inches above the body, to guide this energy.

The Core Belief: Reiki is based on the belief that a life force energy flows through all living things and that imbalances in this energy can lead to illness or stress.
